The Direct Messaging tab is where you talk to athletes directly, separate from the comment threads on individual activities.

Start a conversation

Click New message, search for an athlete by name, and select them to start a private 1:1 thread. Group conversations are not available yet — pick one athlete per thread for now. Existing conversations are listed on the left with search to filter them. A conversation shows the athlete’s online/offline status and, when they’re offline, roughly how quickly they typically respond.

Draft with AI Assist

While replying to an athlete, use AI Assist to have NexRex generate a draft response you can review and edit before sending — useful for a fast, on-brand reply without starting from a blank line.

Loop in the AI assistant

Type @ in the message composer to loop in Rex, the AI assistant, so Rex can see the conversation and respond alongside you.

Broadcast

Broadcast sends one message to many athletes at once — an announcement, a schedule change, a reminder — instead of messaging each person individually.
  • Audience — target all athletes, specific groups, specific athletes, or a segment.
  • Delivery — send immediately with Send Now, or schedule it; a scheduled broadcast can be canceled before it goes out.
  • Status — each broadcast is Draft, Scheduled, Sent, or Failed, with Duplicate to reuse one as a starting point for the next.
  • Results — after sending, see how many recipients the message reached, how many opened it, and how many clicked through.
Delivery policies determine who’s eligible to receive a given broadcast — for example, respecting an athlete’s notification preferences. Broadcast results reflect only the audience the policy actually allowed through.
