Agent Studio lets you build an AI coach that carries on the way you coach. Your athletes chat with it in the NexRex app, and you can read their conversations anytime. Training changes it suggests still come to you first. You build and publish your AI coach in the NexRex web console. Athletes then choose it in the app; see AI coach.

Before you start

Agent Studio is available to coaches of clubs that have it turned on. If your club has it, Agent Studio appears in the console sidebar. If you see Agent Studio isn’t available for your club yet., or the sidebar item is missing, contact support@nexrex.ai. Every coach in the club can create, edit, and publish the club’s AI coaches. Only the head coach can set the members’ default, offer an AI coach to all of NexRex, archive it, or delete it.

Create your AI coach

  1. Open Agent Studio in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create my AI Agent. If your club already has an AI coach, click New agent instead.
  3. Enter a Name. Members see this name in chat, and you can change it later. Intro, the one line members see in the coach list, is optional.
  4. Click Create and start interview.
Setup has four steps: Establish Agent, Guided Interview, Review and Test, and Publication. The steps stay on the AI coach’s page so you can pick up where you left off.
The Picture you choose while creating stays on that device, and members can’t see it. To give your AI coach a photo members see, upload it in Settings.

Teach it how you coach

  • Interview: a guided conversation in which you show the AI coach how you coach.
  • Coaching principles: write down your approach. How I coach is required. You can also fill in What matters in each session, When … I do (real situations and what you do in them), Things I never do, and My voice, with your speaking style and phrases you use.
  • Knowledge: add source material the AI coach can draw on. Sources that are ready when you publish are included in that version.

Name, photo, and introduction

Open the AI coach’s Settings tab. Under Basic information:
  • Agent photo: click Upload photo and choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 5 MB. You can crop it before saving. Members see the photo after you publish. Remove photo takes it off.
  • Coach name: the name members see, and the name the AI coach uses for itself in conversation.
  • Member introduction: the first thing a member reads in the coach list, up to 400 characters. It’s required before you publish.
  • Specialties: up to 5 topics.
  • Reply length: how long its answers are.
Without a photo, members see the AI coach’s initials on a colored circle.

Publish

Before your first publish, the AI coach needs a name, How I coach, and a Member introduction.
  1. Click Publish version. Check before publishing shows what members will see and anything still missing.
  2. Optionally click Run Agent quality check. It doesn’t block publishing.
  3. Click Publish and open to members. If it can’t open to members yet, the button reads Publish without opening access.
Publishing creates a stable version. Edits you make afterwards stay private until you publish again: the button then reads Changes ready to publish, and the dialog’s button reads Publish changes. Each AI coach shows one of these statuses:

Choose who can use it

In Settings:
  • Available to: Club members lets your club’s members choose it in chat. All of NexRex asks NexRex to offer it to every member. The head coach clicks Submit, and the setting shows In review until NexRex approves it or shows Returned. Your club keeps access during review.
  • Availability: open it to members, or pause it.
  • Members’ default agent: the AI coach members get when they haven’t picked one. The head coach sets it with Make it members’ pick in Agent Studio, or Set as default. Members who picked their own AI coach keep it.

Versions, archive, and delete

  • Published versions lists every version. Click Restore this version to put members back on an earlier one.
  • The head coach can Archive agent. Members can no longer use it, and existing conversations and versions are kept.
  • An AI coach that was never published can be deleted with Delete permanently, which also removes its member conversations.

What athletes see

Members of your club see an open AI coach in the app’s AI coach list, with its photo, name, introduction, and Created by your name. When they choose it, it answers their questions in chat. See AI coach.
